PISA 2009 Results: Learning to learn. Student engagement, strategies, and practices
OECD, 2011.
The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a major international study conducted across the OECD and with several partner countries every three years. PISA includes a major assessment of 15-year olds in all participating countries, and collects background data on students, schools and systems to form the basis for policy recommendations. PISA 2009 had a focus on reading.
This volume is a major international study of student motivation, engagement with reading, and students’ use of effective learning strategies. There is also an analysis of how issues of gender and socio-economic status factors play out in students’ learning and across nations.
