School closings

What does the research say?

School boards may decide to close a school due to declining enrolment, because it requires extensive, costly repairs, or because a program is being reorganized or eliminated. In this section, you can find information and research about the impact of school closings on communities and lists of schools closed in Ontario over the past 10 years.
