Parent Organizations in Ontario

There are lots of organizations parents can turn to for support, advice or information about education. When parents are involved in their children’s education everyone benefits. Locally, each board of education has its own Parent Involvement Committee or “PIC”, some provincial parent organizations are featured below. OAPCE

Ontario Association of Parents in Catholic Education

OAPCE is the voice of parents and guardians of children enrolled in the publicly funded English Catholic system of education in Ontario.

A province-wide network of dedicated members committed to informed and proactive involvement to obtain the best for each student, at home and in our schools and communities.

Parent Involvement Committees

PICs or Parent Involvement Committees exist in every school board and work to ensure boards are effectively engaging parents. Membership includes parents, which must be the majority, the Director of the school board and one or more trustees.

Parents partenaires en éducation

PPE, literally « parent partners in education », is a provincial non-profit parents association. The organization represents parents in French Language Schools in Ontario (both the Catholic and Public).
