Jacqui Strachan
Community Development Coordinator
Jacqui Strachan is the mother of two sons, one in grade 12 and the other in grade 10. A former lawyer, she became involved in People for Education when her eldest son was in kindergarten. For the last eight years, Jacqui has worked full time at People for Education, speaking to parent and education groups and providing telephone and email support to parents across the province. As the Community Development Coordinator, Jacqui helps to develop multi-lingual tip sheets for parents, coordinates a network of parents and community agencies around the province and runs workshops to help engage parents in their children’s education.
