Michelle Muir

Michelle has been a member of People for Education’s Board of Directors since 2007. She is an elementary teacher with the Peel District School Board and an in-house writer for Nelson Education. She is also a poet and spoken word artist who won CBC Radio’s National Poetry Face-Off in 2006 and 2007. Her first book of poetry, Nuff Said, was published in 2009, and she is currently completing her second book. Michelle combines her work as an educator, spoken word artist and storyteller to promote literacy across Canada and abroad.
